You are invited...

The Vandenberg Village Community Services District and the Lompoc Valley Botanic and Horticultural Society are pleased to announce the upcoming groundbreaking of the WaterWise Demonstration Garden at 3745 Constellation Road. We invite you to join us in making this project a reality.

The garden will demonstrate practical strategies for water conservation while creating a habitat for birds and other wildlife, enhancing climate resilience. Its design incorporates native species such as live oaks and manzanitas alongside drought-tolerant plants like succulents, olive trees, and dusty miller. Distinct zones will showcase options including hedges, succulents, flowering shrubs, trees, and a California sagebrush strip.

Groundbreaking is scheduled for early 2026, with volunteer opportunities available through January 2027. The project is funded through water conservation in-lieu fees.
