NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Directors of Vandenberg Village Community Services District will hold a Public Hearing in conjunction with its regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at the District Office Conference Room, 3757 Constellation Road, Vandenberg Village, California, pursuant to Government Code Sections 54354.5(c) and 66018 for the purpose of receiving public comment on:
The proposed Amendment 8 to Ordinance No. 26-04, recommends a change in rates for Water and Wastewater Services and establishing Water and Wastewater Connection Fees.
The connection fees are based on the District’s Strategic Plan which includes a Water and Wastewater System Capital Plan and methods of calculation, analysis, and rationale for establishing connection fees. The Board may adopt service charges, usage rates or a combination of the two, equal to or less than the proposed ordinance rates.
The proposed rates are not discriminatory nor excessive and they are sufficient to meet the requirements of Government Code sections 54515 and 66012, et seq., meet the requirements for assessment of developer fees, and Government Code Sections 54354.5(b) and 6062a for notice and conduct of Public Hearings prior to adoption.
